Why is that technologies related to distributed ledgers always have some sort of coin involved? Posted: 04 Aug 2021 12:49 PM PDT For example, there are many coins out there that use Blockchain which is proof of work. I have also read that Etherum, another crypto coin is using proof of stake. Are these coins required for the functionality of a distributed ledger? Or is it just a way to for people to make money when using this technology? [link] [comments] |
Alpha release of blazing fast nextgen package manager for windows Posted: 05 Aug 2021 04:09 AM PDT Thrilled to announce that we recently released the alpha release of Novus (https://www.novuspkg.com). Novus is a windows package manager which is up to 5x faster than the latest windows package manager. It was developed using Rust. Don't forget to share this with others and star the GitHub repository to show your support as will be releasing Novus for Linux and MacOS soon. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions on this project. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:34 PM PDT I wonder if any of you have purposely over-engineer a solution to a problem by writing a compiler/parser/lexer for it? Why? for fun of course. for the sake of over-engineering. Just trying to find ideas on what kind of tasks that can be "compiler-ed" [link] [comments] |
