Any Advice for the Concept of BackTracking?? Posted: 27 Feb 2021 05:14 PM PST Hello to all! I'm a bit stumped on backtracking. I know the general concept which is that you build a solution(or a constituent of a larger solution(s)) incrementally through choices and when a choice doesn't work, you have to remove it/go back to the previous method call to try other choices. But it's a little hard to implement the concept and this topic isn't really mentioned in the "Holy Bible of Algorithms", Intro to Algorithms (CLRS, 3rd edition). So I'm asking whether you have any resources, advices, tips, tricks, just anything to help me learn this right before I go to college(context: taking a gap year, and I want to learn as much CS as possible, also it's a little fun). Project ideas to self study computer organization? Posted: 27 Feb 2021 04:19 PM PST Can people who have formally taken this course at university give me some project ideas to further my understanding of the subject. The book I have is computer organization and design 4th ed. I skimmed through it and it has exercises but no projects, which I wish it had. [link] [comments] |
