Posted: 09 Oct 2018 05:12 PM PDT Hey, so I struggle to learn from lecturers going through vague powerpoints and listening back to them through staticy recordings I make. Are there any other resources that someone could suggest as an experiment for me to learn in different ways. Modules: Fundamentals & Applications: Of computer science Programming (Beginning with C) (I want to learn how to plan out solutions though... Flowcharts, pseudo) Maths (Matrices, basic algebra refresher) Software engineering I feel as if I'm at a slight disadvantage as everyone in my classes seem to have a good idea on what the lecturers are teaching whilst teaching it due to their A-Levels. I did a BTEC in IT and we didn't go in to most of the things that we're being taught right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Low key worrying about the workload as in one of the many lectures I've attended, we went through 30-35 slides in under 45 minutes. Bit of a pace increase for me if anyone knows a BTEC. Up for the challenge, but need to invest time in to different ways of learning, etc. Thanks [link] [comments] |

My university is teaching us computer graphics using openGL and we’re starting with GLUT Posted: 09 Oct 2018 10:24 AM PDT Is there any reason for this cause I've heard that no one uses openGL anymore and GLUT died in like 2009 Edit: okay so openGL is still used. People seem to be offended that I didn't know that. I've never really cared for graphics and it's my first week in the class so it's not that big a deal that I didn't know about it. I was told it was outdated by another professor (yes, really). The only reason I'm studying CG is cause it's a compulsory course (yes, we have those and you cant opt out of them). I like maths though and it's sort of interesting so I'm gonna try to enjoy the whole thing and learn as much as I can. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Oct 2018 10:05 PM PDT Is there a way I can upload the code I wrote to check for any plagiarism? It's because my school is strict so I want to make sure my code is safe before I submit it. It's also because sometimes u get help etc and that's why as well. I want to check my code before I turn it in Making sure no sign of plaigirism at all [link] [comments] |

Good learning points for Fundamentals? Posted: 09 Oct 2018 06:31 AM PDT Been very ill recently, looking to catch up. Powerpoints online aren't very good for me as they're quite vague. Any help would be great [link] [comments] |
