| Posted: 30 Jan 2018 07:12 PM PST Hi, I'm a university student taking a programming and data structures course, and I'm wondering if assert statements increase a program's runtime. I had a problem with my program where it was timing out, but after I commented out the asserts (which were in every function being used), the error went away.
