Posted: 09 Sep 2020 12:52 PM PDT The recently published paper, Measuring Massive Multitask Language Understanding, introduces a test covering topics such as elementary mathematics, US history, computer science, law, etc., designed to measure language models' multitask accuracy. The authors, from UC Berkeley, Columbia University, UChicago, and UIUC, conclude that even the top-tier 175-billion-parameter OpenAI GPT-3 language model is a bit daft when it comes to language understanding, especially when encountering topics in greater breadth and depth than explored by previous benchmarks. Here is a quick read: New Multitask Benchmark Suggests Even the Best Language Models Don't Have a Clue What They're Doing The paper Measuring Massive Multitask Language Understanding is on arXiv. Posted: 09 Sep 2020 11:44 AM PDT I recently have been applying to large company internships (Summer 2021) and have managed to connect with a lot of the "University Recruiters" on linkedin. Is it a smart move to message the people in hopes that they will review your application? What type of messages do y'all send to them? btw I already have professional experience within the industry, so I think I'm qualified for the positions I've applied for [link] [comments] |
