Anyone Wanna Review My Game Design Doc? Posted: 27 Sep 2020 11:14 AM PDT Hi, I'm looking for anyone how's willing to read my ~900 word GDD on an Ant Colony Building game called Colonant. It's just an idea that I months work on in the future but I want to have a solid concept before I start developing it. Any advice and feedback on the idea would be greatly appreciated! Posted: 27 Sep 2020 06:17 AM PDT I want to make a little 3D helicopter as the player character where the blades just spin around all the time. If I was doing this in 2D I would use a gif, where it just loops. But how do you do this in 3D? what software do you use? does a 3D gif have a name? I have my 3D models for the helicopter base and the rotor blade ready. I just don't know what to use to put them together into a short 2 second looping 3D animation. Any ideas how I do this? Unity VS Unreal Engine Regarding AI Integration Posted: 27 Sep 2020 06:08 AM PDT Hello, I will be starting Game Dev and AI graduation project, and one of the first questions came into my mind which game engine to use given the following concern : - The game NPCs (monsters ) will be trained (reinforcement learning ) which will most probably won't use AI-libraries offered by game engines mentioned, So what do you think the most suitable game engine which is flexible to integrate python modules /scripts which will mostly use AI frameworks? Thank you [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Sep 2020 08:39 AM PDT Could anyone help give me some pointers on how I could make a bunch of items for a game and then have it available to see in some format in my game? Like having a book with every in game weapon or armor piece? [link] [comments]

Starting a side project during crunch to avoid burnout? Posted: 27 Sep 2020 07:37 AM PDT I just recetly had this really cool idea...and I think I legitimately credited a new genre of games. Anyway, I have a current project, and I really want to get the kickstarter out by the end of this year, as well as have a playable demo, but I've been a little bit burnt out with all of this work. Do you think its a good idea? Like take 2 weeks to work on this side project and see where things go? [link] [comments]
