My all time favorite moment as a developer was that time a client asked me to fix the ads on their website because it kept showing him gay porn

    Posted: 31 Jul 2020 02:52 PM PDT

It wasn't just the two of us either, it was a meeting with other coworkers and the clients board members and I explained that the ads are targeted to you personally based on your internet history.

Edit: background. This particular client is a company with a board. The one guy on the board was "difficult" so it felt very good to take him down a notch in front of his peers while refraining from even a hint of a smile. As he was telling the board about the ads it was clear that basically everyone but him knew how ads worked.
