Do Employer care if you are not a full time student when applying for an internship? Posted: 12 Apr 2020 06:52 PM PDT Pretty much the title. For reasons that aren't important to the question this may be a situation I find myself in, so I wanted to know if that's maybe a red flag to HR that when applying for an internship I am not a full time student. Whats the concepts and tech used behind the 'Honey' application? Posted: 13 Apr 2020 12:27 AM PDT Okay have y'all heard of this app called 'Honey', for those of y'all who haven't its this application which acts as a browser extension and whenever you want to apply a coupon for a purchase this application finds the best coupon code for you from multiple websites and applies it automatically.. so i'm trying to figure what sort of automated process or AI stuff is going on behind the scenes. I would really like to learn that so can someone help me out? [link] [comments] |
Interests in formal languages, advanced algorithms Posted: 12 Apr 2020 04:45 PM PDT I'm a recent new grad and currently working in a SWE position. While my job is decently interesting, I don't get the same kind of enthusiasm as when I studied algorithms and especially Formal Languages and Automata back in college. I suspect that these kinds of topics rarely show up in an industry position. Meanwhile for grad schools the hottest topics right now seem to be AI/ML stuff. My question is what could someone with these interests go into? If they continue with academia, would the job prospect be good/decent when they specialize in these fields? Thanks for any input! A graph implementation of the Hungarian Algorithm in Python Posted: 12 Apr 2020 12:49 PM PDT Just finished a Python implementation of the Hungarian Algorithm, check it out on https://github.com/benchaplin/hungarian-algorithm. Anyone into graph algorithms? I studied this solution to the assignment problem in college and finally got around to writing it. My testing wasn't too comprehensive, so give it a whirl and let me know what you think! [link] [comments] |
ER Diagram with 2 Relation to ER with 3 Relation Posted: 12 Apr 2020 10:54 AM PDT If I have a ER Diagram with A, B, C, E Relations = (A,E),(B,E),(C,E) What could cause a problem to transform this to ER with 3 Relation? Before this we had to describe a shown way to transform a three Relation to two Relation So A, B, C With Relation = (A, B, C) To the upper one with this new E as a placeholder to transform it to only two relations Now we have to state what instance is not possible to transform from two to three relations? And what restriction is needed? My thought is that if we have different values for the relation from A to E it is not possible? Thanks for any help [link] [comments] |
For the professionals in this field Posted: 12 Apr 2020 07:36 PM PDT Hey everyone,

Posted: 12 Apr 2020 01:56 PM PDT I'm interested in learning hacking. But I also want to learn some computer science skills. What would be some good courses that would help me with both? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Apr 2020 08:06 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm a High School sophomore that just got into computer science. I want to know what extracurriculars, gpa, sat, and etc you did in order to get into an good engineering school. [link] [comments] |
