I am in desperate need of someone with expert knowledge about LZ77 / Huffman compression.
This compression type was used by the Nintendo E-reader, which I want to figure out. If the problem is solved, I can compensate for the work you put into it. You can contact me here or rather, via Discord (Sunicune#0349).

    Thank you for reading.

    Data type comparison

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 09:18 AM PST

Suppose I have a data type A and I am proclaiming to create a better version of A, called B. I need to prove that, right? To prove I'm gathering data of their performance(size, speed). Library used for A is written in JS, for B it's written in C. So that, B would perform better. Is this a valid testing?

Where is the boundary between programming and computer science?

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 09:39 AM PST

I'm a young software developer and went to a coding bootcamp. This means I don't understand what linked lists are, what manual memory allocation is, and I don't understand why computer science graduates get paid more than me for for doing the same amount of work and doing roughly the same type of software development(funny joke). I would really appreciate it if you could educate me as to what the boundary/knowledge required is to become a computer scientist as opposed to being a programmer. Thank you
