Are there any books that explain in detail all the processes that happen inside a computer? Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:08 AM PST I read several books on Python programming right now, but neither of them explains what happens under the hood: how interpreter works, what computer "understands" from the code I write, what are the processes behind the scenes etc. Is there any book that would help me with that? Just Did Some Linked List Questions! Posted: 03 Dec 2019 03:15 PM PST Hey guys, nothing special really. Just wanted to discuss what I did today. Felt this weird block against linked lists, so I decided to give them a whirl. I did the loop detection question, which taught me how to find the middle element as well. I figured out the iterative reversal one as well. Finally I put these together to solve a linked list palindrome check by finding the middle element and reversing the two halves. I also did the loop detection and removal question. Sorry, it's just really cool how the questions all came together in the end, wanted to talk about it. [link] [comments] |
What is Computer Science and what can I expect to learn? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:30 AM PST In January, I will be starting school to study Computer Science. I have no experience with coding or anything like that at all, and I have a very limited understanding of what CS is. Can someone try to explain some of the basic? [link] [comments] |

How much more complex is Introduction to C++ than Programming I for an inexperienced programmer? Posted: 03 Dec 2019 03:54 PM PST As far as me I finished the Python 2 course on Codecademy a few years ago, which is where my programming experience ends. Would I or could I die in C++ if I took it as my first class? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Dec 2019 06:55 AM PST Hi there, As I'm applying to universities for MS in CS, some universities ask for an early mater's thesis proposal. I have drafted one, I would like to hear some of your views on it. [link] [comments] |
