    Digital electronics importance?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2019 02:48 PM PDT

I am going to be taking computer science at university in the fall of this year. I am wondering if I could get some opinions on the importance of digital electronics in computer science. I know the basics and some, however I am wondering if I should dive deeper into digital.

    Posted: 14 Mar 2019 07:09 AM PDT

Hello, I am an sophomore studying Theoretical Computer Science. I am trying to decide on which elective to take for my next semester. One of the elective is Program Semantic Analysis. What does Program Semantic Analysis deal about and why is it useful for a Theoretical Computer Science student?

    What is meant by computing?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2019 05:07 AM PDT

How to define computing? Or rather, what is a computer? If we say it's something that accepts input, processes it and gives output, then that defines almost every other device. If we say, it's something that does all the above and also has storage unit associated with it, then even wet grinders have storages etc. If we say that a computer makes significant decisions about its inputs, that it can even reject an input. What do we mean by that? Can anyone give me some examples of inputs rejected and accepted and in the same time, why any kind of input rejection isn't possible for grinders or any other machine?
