Where to start again? Computer Science |
Posted: 15 Jul 2018 03:28 AM PDT I'm 2nd year CS student. Originally I was a math major. I'm really struggling with coding as this was something I didn't really pay attention too (yes I was an irresponsible 20 yo and that needs to change now). I'd love to hear some advice and even insults to get myself back on track... Thanks.... [link] [comments] |
Can NaN be positive or negative? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 07:50 AM PDT Logically I'm thinking that since to my understanding NaN is more or less an interpretation of a nonsensical computation (ie 0/0 or infinity-infinity) and not a value, NaN in of itself cannot be (+) or (-); rather the value that it represents can be (+) or (-). Is there some concession that allows NaN to be positive or negative? Edit: just wanna come out and say that since I've been looking into this question I'm blown away with the amount of deliberation and inquiry. It's truly fascinating that such a simple question seems to have such a multifaceted answer. [link] [comments] |
