Book about History of Computer Science for a Young Teenager?

I hate to do this, and I am sorry.

My 13 year old son is very in to computing. He does love gaming but does get into the coding side of things - it's not something I have a great deal of knowledge about.

I'd love to get him a book about the history of computer science. A lot of books I see recommended seem to be for those in the industry or graduates - he's a bright kid but I don't want to get him something that may be a bit too technical.

If anyone can recommend something digestible for a teenager about the subject I would be grateful.

    Many thanks

What methods have you come up with to track down of all the research which is relevant to your projects ?

Pretty much every lab I've ever worked in, there was tons of papers that were very relevant to what I was doing, but I just didn't have the time to find them all, let alone even know that some of them even existed!

I would like to ask what methods/tip/tricks/techniques have you come up with to help you keep track?

Is this book good as an introduction for ML and DL?
