Maximum kth number with this algorithm Posted: 28 Dec 2021 04:54 PM PST Hi everyone, I'm reading this paper about finding the second largest element in an array. I found the implementation clever and got a question about the max value that k may have with this implementation. Doing a simple desk check, I think that the max k could be Thanks! Operating systems that write their own software Posted: 28 Dec 2021 08:57 PM PST So, haven't we reached the point in computing where an operating system, through AI, should be able to write its own software applications? Through AI, an operating system should be able to search through all the code written in open source repositories and be able to decipher the core elements of various applications. There would be certain core patterns of code that characterize a word processor or image editor, say. Once these patterns are learned, it should thus be able to assemble its own code. So, imagine moving from an application based OS to a functional OS; we tell it what we want to do and it learns what functionality we need, and assembles the code accordingly. If I need a basic word processor, rather than searching for an app that is never quite perfect for what I need, I should tell the OS what I need and it can continuously improve upon its own coded software offerings through machine learning. Moreover, this OS generated code can be added back to open source repositories for reuse by others. [link] [comments] |
How Data Models Give Companies the Good Oil for Data Governance - Analysis Posted: 28 Dec 2021 07:22 AM PST With the help of well-articulated roles and metrics, you can craft a data governance practice to align with your company's overall business goals for establishing the processes that guard the data throughout its lifecycle and defining the policies for accessing data: Data Models Give Companies the Good Oil for Data Governance The approach represented in more details in the guide above could be called the four pillars of data model governance. These will help you gauge the effectiveness of data models to connect data management and data definition:

Posted: 28 Dec 2021 07:18 AM PST Hey, I have a question about wsl malware. I am trying to think of a solution. The security problem is with WSL that you can run things through linux on windoes undetected. I need to find a solution to the security breach and detail how I will use it. Anyone has any guidance? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
