What are the prospects of process calculi and the actor model? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 01:20 PM PDT What are the prospects of following concurrency models in applications and in research: process calculi (such as the pi calculus, join calculus, ambient calculus, ...) the actor model? Do they fall out of favor in applications or research, because of some better models? Or do they have advantages but still wait for their breakthrough into popularity?
