    How do I prepare?

Hello all! I started college this pass fall as a jazz studies major (realized my mistake real fast.) I have always been a bit shaky with numbers, but I'd argue it was due to bad basics. I ended up with B's at my high school in the highest math class available and I wanted to know what do you all reccomend I study to catch up. I am appreciate to anything. Thank you all in advance!

    The P = NP Problem

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 08:29 AM PDT

How much research is currently being devoted to finding an NP-complete language with an efficient algorithm? I'm currently in a theory of computation class and was wondering who is/has been devoting their life to this problem?

Creating an OS to run a modern game

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 02:22 PM PDT

    Hello all,

I hope this isn't too silly of a question, and it's not something I'm considering starting on, but more just curious about how things work under the hood.

Modern games pretty much always have OS requirements, but would it be possible to create an OS and boot directly into a game like World of Warcraft or something without the bloat of Windows?
(Not that WoW is a computationally intense game, but just as an example)

What about these games would makes doing this impossible, if anything?

I'd like to save an API's data locally but...

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 03:01 PM PDT

Relatively new to programming. I am a bit of a data hoarder and would like to access an API (several actually) and save all of its (their) information locally on a DB but I'm not sure if it's unethical. For more context, I'm referring to APIs like Twitter or Spotify.

edit: Despite being a data hoarder, I do plan on using the data for different purposes.
