    Test data for substring-match implementations?

This may seem like an odd question, but a variety of differently-worded Google searches turned up zilch, so...

As a small programming exercise for a language I've been self-learning lately, I thought I'd implement a few competing substring-search algorithms. And just for fun, I'd "race" them against each other on a range of needle/haystack inputs. But I can't seem to find a good set of test data for testing substring-search. In fact, I can find NO sets of test data (good, passable or bad).

Surely something like this is out there somewhere? A great list of strings and search-strings of varying complexity, with an indicator of whether a match is findable? (Or how many times/places, etc.)

    -Randy

P.S. If I simply failed at Google-fu, a suitable query string would be a fine answer...

Anyone know of a computer science/software engineering discord server with an active voice chat?

It's tough for me to get involved in a server if there's no active voice chat.

Nice computer science / programming related songs?

can we list such rap/rock songs with great lyrics? I don't like some kids lesson of writing hello world in python composed into childish rhyme. Good thought provoking / funny lyrics like "the java life".

some little beyond this is okay too. eg: GNU/Linux or some decent math/physics.
