Quantum Computing in Python using Qiskit

    Posted: 26 Feb 2022 12:55 PM PST

Hi, this is an 18 hours introductory course in Quantum Computing using Qiskit. This course consists of 9 hours of theory and 9 hours of coding and covers everything from the basics up to Shor's algorithm. Lecture notes are free for download and practical tests included. This course is really amazing

    Recommendations for Books

    Posted: 26 Feb 2022 08:34 AM PST

Hi everyone, I am a student in first year of my graduation. I just got access to my college's library and I need some help finding good books. I would like some good recommendations related to programming, cyber security, or any helpful books in general. I'm familiar with Linux, and somewhat with C programming. Also any other tips would be welcome.

What is the computational hardness of providing a valid 4 coloring of a planar graph ?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2022 08:47 AM PST

I'm not an expert so I'm not sure if I found the correct answer.

I mean coloring in that sense:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graph_coloring

It's always possible for those graph according to this :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_color_theorem

On the graph coloring wikipedia page they say that graph coloring is NP complete, but the problem is not exactly the same as the one I have.

It is " Does G admit a proper vertex coloring with k colors?"

While my problem is more to provide a valid 4 coloring of a planar graph, which we know is always possible.

Is NP complete the right answer ?

only know some algebra, is it possible to pick up CLRS and fill the gap in math as I face them?

    Posted: 26 Feb 2022 07:52 AM PST

Our class is using CLRS and I barely know Algebra 2, is it possible to start reading CLRS and study math topics as I face them in the book ( limits, integrals, summation, counting .. etc.) or I should improve my math first?

what is the fastest way to learn enough to be able to absorb the book and learn all the material?

Most useful things to know for ML?

    Posted: 24 Feb 2022 09:58 PM PST

    Hey yall,

I'm a second year computer engineering student, so I haven't taken many CE classes yet, but I took some CS classes and really enjoy it. Either way I want to go into ML / Developing AI, so I was wondering what yall would say that is useful to get into ML, such as like what classes or topics to focus on? Ty!

Sorry this is kinda vague too, I don't know an in depth amount yet.
