Cellular automaton built only with a single type of universal logic gate Posted: 06 Dec 2021 12:34 AM PST Do you know of work related to building a cellular automaton (like Conway's Game of Life) but instead of using Conway's rules, using just NAND gates (or NOR)? Maybe there is a pattern to arrange them so that they give rise to emergent complexity? [link] [comments] |
So here is the deal: how to level up? Posted: 06 Dec 2021 10:05 AM PST I'm a backend junior software developer in the largest media company of my country. I've been here for a couple years now, and I think I am pretty good for someone that is still in university, but still not so sure that I am up to go to the next level. I mean, I get the work done but I am not very confident, specially being the only woman in a 30 guys group. If I can be honest, I struggle to code faster and always feel like I am behind everyone. I know things take time but I see people that started the same time as me getting promoted, job offers in other countries and develop exponentially and I am here stuck. I have been struggling to find better ways to improve my coding skills and knowledge base that doesn't require a taking a coding course bc 90% of them are trash or are too basic. I know that not everyone here works in the same area, but what y'all did when you find yourself in this place? There is any book/practice/ planning/anything that you did to level up? Note: the ppl I work with are great, truly amazing rly. the problem is not sexism, is me. [link] [comments] |
