| Pros and cons of different research areas in computer science Posted: 06 Oct 2021 10:14 PM PDT Can some of the esteemed and well connected CS researchers in this community please list down the Pros and cons of doing a research in the following areas 1)Distributed Systems/Cloud computing 2)Graphics 3)Security. I am particularly interested in the following criteria: 1)Amount of effort required in finding a good research problem 2)Opportunity of research in industry after graduation 3)Average number of years to graduate 4)Future outlook in terms of research activity. Example, will the area of research have a lot of new interesting problems to tackle or will the area of research be matured that finding new problems will require a lot of effort. It's a cool online course created by experts who teach Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence using imagery datasets from Sentinel satellites. It starts online on October 18th, 2021. It's a completely free course. We have about 2k registrations so far but would be happy to see folks from other communities foster exchange between us.
