Autoencoders and Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) Posted: 03 May 2021 12:08 AM PDT I wrote a tutorial on how to build and train a variational autoencoder using PyTorch. It is CPU-friendly too! https://towardsdatascience.com/building-a-convolutional-vae-in-pytorch-a0f54c947f71 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 May 2021 08:57 PM PDT If I am planning to go to college and get degrees in CS, is this a bad idea? Would it be a better idea to avoid the main topics and rather learn the extra things first? If so, how do you recommend that I learn things? I am currently on Harvard cs50x and c++ book principles and practice I am also curious what I should study in my extra time that would help me get into a better college in relation to cs. Would it be just programming to build things and showcase it on my resume? If not, then would just learning CS help now? [link] [comments] |
Any good places to learn more about Fstream in c++? Posted: 02 May 2021 08:43 PM PDT Haven't been finding any good places to learn more about the topic, due to it being very foggy for me. Anything is appreciated [link] [comments] |
Any Academics/Professors here? Posted: 02 May 2021 04:04 PM PDT How does computer science academia compare to other fields such as biology where things are pretty competitive and heavily metric driven. It seems like it might be pretty nice compared to the other areas because most compsci PhDs have options. I'd love to hear some feedback from any professors. [link] [comments] |
