    How does video capturing work

    Posted: 28 Apr 2021 01:45 AM PDT

    Hi all !

How does anything on the screen get displayed in terms hardware and software ? A follow up question - how do screen capturing software work technically.

Would really appreciate it if you could share any resources to understand the above.

Apologies if the question is a bit vague.

    Thanks

Best, cleanest, simplest IDE for C++?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 08:18 PM PDT

I've been doing C++ for a bit in an online website call repl.it. I want to start using an IDE which is an application, but I don't want one with a million buttons. Preferably with enough components necessary for USACO Bronze problem-solving coding. Can u guys recommend any? Thx!

How to get access to *private* backend API? (non-malicious)

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 07:46 PM PDT

I am interested in creating a tracker for a video game that can track in-game stats and other features in the game, but I do not know how to get access to their API? I have seen that there are many games that do not have public APIs available, however, people are still able to get information from their database and sometimes create their own API entirely. One of the largest examples is tracker.gg. How is this possible?

Anyone know about the comp sci programs at UNC Charlotte and App State?

    Posted: 27 Apr 2021 05:23 PM PDT

Hey guys. I'm trying to decide between UNC Charlotte and App. My decision date is in a few days and it is not getting any easier. I like the App campus, although Charlotte is nicer I feel like App would be more fun. But the comp sci program at Charlotte is like 100 ranks above App. I'm already pretty experienced in programming so I definitely would not be going it at an entry level. Is the comp sci program really much different?

    Thanks
