Posted: 14 Dec 2020 01:04 AM PST Hello, my question might be abstract but I am wondering if there are effective ways to work on a game project, what is important to establish early on and what to focus on first? [link] [comments]

Should mobile devs publish on other app stores than Google Play and Apple store ? Posted: 14 Dec 2020 03:25 AM PST Hello, I am currently working for an indie mobile video game studio and we are looking to publish on other app stores than Google's and Apple's. We are considering Huawei Appgallery and Samsung Galaxy store, what are your thoughts about them ? [link] [comments]
Neon Shooter Tutorial made in BeefLang Posted: 13 Dec 2020 12:49 PM PST I'm a long time lurker and wanted to give back something that hopefully will be useful to someone else and to keep some light on my new favorite langauge BeefLang. I wrote a small game engine that took some inspiration from engines like Nez and Strawberry and some of MonoGame/XNA and then implemented the Neon Shooter tutorial as a sample project. I have a lot of social anxiety so this is my first real attempt to put myself out there and be judged. I hope to one day find a follow artist and like minded game designer to put something out there. Please let me know if you have any questions. Here is a youtube video of the sample game and here is a link to the source code that also contains the game engine. EDIT: Typos [link] [comments]
Is it ok these days to send our steam game to steam curators? Posted: 13 Dec 2020 06:17 PM PST I got a friend request and when i accepted , he messaged that they have a curator group and if am interested, i can send copies for review. Around 500 followers they have for that curator. But i have seen in reddit that some of curators will ask for more copies later on and if not provided, they say to leave negative reviews for your game. What i have to do now? profile seems legit as he has played many games and still playing. [link] [comments]
