TensorFlow + Gesture Recognition on Smart Watch? Posted: 07 Feb 2020 07:45 AM PST For a class project, we're given a Garmin Venu smartwatch. We want to use the sensor data on the watch to be able to train a machine learning model to learn the gesture of curling a dumbbell and counting the number of reps. We've never used TensorFlow before, does anyone have any advice for our project? We don't care about false positives. [link] [comments] |
Am I crazy about starting two degrees at the same time? (Stat + Comp. Engineering) Posted: 07 Feb 2020 10:06 AM PST I had started a course in statistics to have good knowledge to work with ML / AI, currently I already have knowledge in programming, but I was eager to learn things about computing, including a little of the physical parts. An example is a performance book with Python, where it deals with parts of the computer (I / O speed), and also algorithms, i.e., both the part that interferes with programming and the physical part of the computer. So, I started two online courses, Statistics and Computer Engineering. Currently, in less than two hours a day, I can complete the activities of the static course, so I think that in a maximum of 6 days a week, studying between 5 and 6 hours, I can finish the tasks of the two courses. But they called me crazy about it, heh. And I was wondering if anyone has studied two online degrees at the same time, and what they think about it. PS: I'm from Brazil and currently I got an internship as a React developer, and maybe I intend to create online courses after finishing this internship, which will be much less work than taking hours of driving to work, etc. I can also keep up my pace to study both colleges without feeling pressured by work. I have a very broad knowledge, and I think that experience with programming and two degrees will attract a lot of people to the course. [link] [comments] |
