Question about grabbing first dev internship! Posted: 16 Jun 2019 10:10 PM PDT Hi I am a student at a university who has just been accepted for the Co-op (internship ) program, and I get to apply in the fall for Computer Science internships. I have no prior technical experience working in internships and I do not want to get stuck with a QA job, I would really love to work as a dev intern. What did you resumes look like that landed you software internships? I want to know where the bar is set where companies will give you interviews. I am already working on side projects for my github/portfolio but I have no prior work experience. I am learning Data structures and algos right now in the summer for interviews in the fall. Posted: 16 Jun 2019 01:34 PM PDT In this article, I'm going to present a low-degree polynomial runtime image partition algorithm that can quickly and reliably partition an image into objectively distinct regions, using only the original image as input, without any training dataset or other exogenous information. All of the code necessary to run the algorithm is available on my researchgate homepage. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/333812036_Vectorized_Image_Partitioning [link] [comments] |
what's necessary to start studying AI and machine learning ? Posted: 16 Jun 2019 08:29 AM PDT I'm a second year CS student and i'm just so curious and passionate about AI and machine learning and aiming to be a data scientist so i wanted to know what's necessary for me to start studying the subject , i haven't yet studied linear algebra and currently studying probability and statistics , is that enough ? and if not what online course i can enroll to start studying linear algebra at least on a level that's adequate for studying AI?
