Who here actually uses LaTeX, for publishing or otherwise? Posted: 03 Apr 2019 11:17 AM PDT I am entering a MSCS program in the Fall and I wonder if there would be any real benefit to learning LaTeX. I will be doing a thesis and while I don't think it will be mathematically rigorous, math will not be sparse. As far as I've read, the main benefits seem to be slightly better looking typography, and some claim it forces a better approach to writing. On the surface, these don't seem like things worth the effort and time to learn LaTeX, particularly for just a masters program as I hear LaTeX is virtually worthless in industry. I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience using LaTeX in a computer science domain. [link] [comments] |
