I have not really pondered upon this convergence before. Now that I am coming to think of it, I seem to be getting only straightforward ideas which are not very innovative or out-of-the-box.

Pros & Cons of a CS major

    Posted: 17 Apr 2019 06:48 PM PDT

I'm very interested in studying Computer Science with the goal of getting a bachelors degree and hopefully finding a career within the wide range of industries that are demanding CS majors.

Can anyone with knowledge in this field give me a realistic pros and cons list to give me a better idea of what I'm getting into? Specifically the courses for the degree and afterwards once a job is locked in?

Can companies use stuff like open cv?

    Posted: 17 Apr 2019 01:37 PM PDT

This might sound stupidddd (plz don't laugh, i'm a little baby in cs) buttttt can companies use stuff like open cv, create a product with those functions and like make a profit?... Is this like companies using python where it's just free for everyone and open source and it doesn't matter if you use it to create a service?
