What's are some interesting unsolved problems?

Unsolved in a general sense. Having something exist but be too slow is fine :) Just curious about the interesting things others think about or work on that myself or others maybe haven't been exposed to. These kind of cool problems are why I enjoy compsci so much, so I'd think there would be a lot of other cool ideas with nothing really there yet!

If you could leave a concept and any writing on it / progress you've found or what your thoughts are it'd be great!

I'll try to list a few fun ones (and if these have more progress than I think they do, it might just be because I don't know!):

Not sure how i'm getting this Hamming Question Wrong.

Recently went though hamming in my previous lecture, I thought I understood it and went home to have a practice and look some questions up online but I don't understand how i'm getting the wrong answer. The question is "Create an 8 bit hamming code word for the value 0xD using even parity. Show your answer in hexadecimal." Answer is suppose to be "0x AA"

Attached are my workings, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
